IDENTIFIED — 'virus' in our consciouness software sabotaging fulfillment of each life's purpose.
As far back as 56-58 C.E., the Gnostic Paul-of-Tarsus related knowledge of the above in a famous letter to a group in Rome:
For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to ego
. For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good. So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but ego which dwells in me. For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but ego which dwells in me.
Daphna Moore gathered the data in her seminal work THE RABBI'S TAROT reprinted in the book above. FOR THE CHILDREN book, takes this highly symbolic data and using three individuals' life stories, interprets the teachings in a modern way. Those of you following KTI (Know Thyself Initiative) will recognize that the “virus in our consciousness software” is the false self, or the ego and pain-body.
We get a glimpse on the ego’s influence in our lives by reading an excerpt from "Gnostic" Paul’s letter to the Romans in the New Testament. Chapter 7 verses 14 through 25 relate Paul's struggle with his ego, only he calls it “sin.” The excerpt above is from The New American Standard Bible and we have replaced the original word sin with ego. We believe if Paul wrote the letter today, his terminology would be the same.
Carl Calleman’s work on Mayan understanding of cycles in our Universe is groundbreaking. Suzzan’s 22-year investigation of Spiritual Evolution in a two-volume treatise focused on America, (to be released soon) just had to incorporate it. We are happy to announce Carl’s ongoing commentary on how the Ninth Wave’s 36-day cycle affects our daily lives is available in Stage
Cycles of the Know Thyself Initiative here on our site.
A little over 200 years after the Tarot appears, another source for the Mysteries emerges in Europe in the form of Rosicrucianism. Philoté den Ouden, brings this forward in his new book, The Alchemical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz. Suzzan wrote the foreword and sings his praises: “Phil has done a remarkable job of interpreting these highly allegorical and mystical teachings for a modern audience.”
